Ed Stroman

P.T, A.T.C, C.S.C.S

Ed is the President of the Physical Therapy & Wellness Center and Tehama Family Fitness Center. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1984 from Fresno State University. He went on shortly thereafter to complete the neccessary requirements for his athletic training and strength and conditioning certifications. His primary experience has been in the realm of general orthopedics and sports medicine with an emphasis on therapeutic exercise. He believes exercise is the best medicine- both empowering and energizing, and that exercise will increase one's sense of control over everyday life. "You're never too sick or too old to start exercising". In 1986 Ed established the north state's first athletic training/sports medicine program at Red Bluff High School. He was a volunteer at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City where he worked at the hockey venue. In his free time, Ed enjoys spending time with his family, fixing up his house, participating in many types of exercise- particularly stand up paddle surfing.

Jeff Crow

A.T.C., C.S.C.S.

With a primary passion of returning injured athletes to competitive levels, Jeff has been working with the Physical Therapy and Wellness Center since 1998. He attended high school in Los Molinos and graduated with a BS in Kinesiology from Sacramento State University. Besides his degree, Jeff went on to earn an Athletic Training Certification and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His duties outside the clinic include athletic training at Red Bluff High School events and being part of the Justin Sportsmedicine Team. Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, and strongman competitions keep him busy on his personal time.

Debra K. Franseth

D.P.T., C.H.T.

Debra is a Red Bluff native and graduated from RBUHS Student Body President in 1975. She graduated from CSU Hayward in 1980 with a Bachelor in Kinesiology and Physical Education. Debra furthered her education at UC San Francisco completing her second Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, graduating in 1982. Debra returned to Red Bluff immediately after graduation and began her career at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. After a short period of time, she joined the out patient physical therapy team now known as Physical Therapy and Wellness Center. Deba continued her devotion to the study of hand therapy and successfully completed the process for the Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) in 1996. Debra's passion and expertise is in treatment of traumatic hand injuries but her history indicates she has enjoyed many facets of physical therapy, including developing and running the cardiac rehabilitation for St. Elizabeth's Communtiy Hospital, assisting in development of the pulmonary rehabilitation program for Chico Communtiy Hospital, providing contract services for local skilled nursing facilities, and acute care services for St. Elizabeth's Community Hospital for the past 27 years. Debra completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in April 2005, graduating from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Debra chooses to work in Red Bluff as a member of the excellent medical community providing care to the same communtiy of doctors, educators and classmates that have contributed to her professional fulfillment. Personally Debra enjoys spending time with her husband Sgt. Jeff Ross of the California Highway Patrol and their three wonderful children, Brianna, Chrsty and Zack. Debra K. Franseth, D.P.T., C.H.T.

Karla Reilly

P.T.A.

Our hometown girl, Karla was born and raised in Red Bluff, graduating from Red Bluff, High School in 1974. She joined the Physical Therapy and Wellness Center in 1984 and is the longest running member of our team. She has studied myofascial release from John Barnes and spends quality hands on time with each and every patient. Karla loves boating, camping, hiking, and hunting.

Heidi Belden

Aquatics Coordinator, B.A.

Bringing 25 years of experience in fitness and aquatics to the Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, Heidi has added value and FUN to our aquatic program. She expanded our water services to include Arthritis Foundation Aquatic classes, Red Cross swim lessons, aqua aerobics and therapeutic aquatic exercise. When needed, Heidi works in the water, one on one with patients. Heidi graduated from Long Beach State University with a BA in Recreation Administration. Out of the water she enjoys snow skiing, jazz, tap, and hula dancing.

Lonnie Scott

M.A., A.T.C., Office Manager

Lonnie started at the Physical Therapy and Wellness Center in 1988 as an ROP student from Red Bluff High School, which led into a part time job cleaning the pool and folding towels. After high school he left for Brigham Young University where he became a student athletic trainer working with the baseball and football programs. With that training, Lonnie received an internship with the San Diego Chargers and after graduation became their Assistant Athletic Trainer. He stayed with the Chargers for six seasons and took a job as Head Athletic Trainer for the expansion Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football League where he worked for two seasons. In 2002, he completed the circle back to Red Bluff taking a job at the Physical Therapy and Wellness Center and teaching an ROP class similar to the one that led him to the Wellness Center in the first place. In Lonnie’s spare time he enjoys reading, running, and time with his family.

Mike Dausse

M.S.

Mike has been part of the Red Bluff community for nearly 25 years. After graduating from Red Bluff High School in 1989, Mike attended California State University, Chico, earning a B.S. in 1998 and a M.S. in 2002 in Exercise Physiology. He joined our team in August 2002 and is currently looking forward to earning his PTA license. Mike enjoys working with patients of all ages and diagnoses. Outside the Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, Mike is an outdoorsman, enjoying salmon fishing, hunting, and driving his boat and jeep.
