I teach Step Aerobics, Yoga, Butts and Guts, and Circuit on a regular basis, but you’ll often see me sub'ing in a variety of classes. I became certified as a Group Fitness Instructor in March of 2008. In December of 2009 I was certified in Level 1 Yoga Fit as well as being certified in the Christian-based yoga discipline “Holy Yoga”.I am very empathetic to the struggles that many of you face. I personally have lost 40 pounds since I started going to the gym. It is my passion and pleasure to educate and motivate those eager to develop their knowledge and skills towards a healthier lifestyle. I am inspired by all of the positive influences around me as well as the positive changes in people's lives.


Mike has been teaching Yoga and Tai Chi qigong for over five years at Tehama Family Fitness Center. He received his 200 hour yoga certification from Yoga Fit, and has been studying Tai Chi and qigong since 1986. He has also been AAFA certified in Pilates, Spin, and personal fitness training. Mike retired as a library administrator for the county of Los Angeles in 1998. He has worked part time as the Grants Coordinator and Technology and Media Services Supervisor for the Corning Union Elementary School District since 1999. Tammie D.

Tammie joined Tehama Family Fitness Center as a member in 2001. Like a lot of us, she wanted to drop a few pounds. She went to step class every day and loved it. Within a year she had earned her aerobic certification and was teaching her own classes. In 2001, she also had a stroke from a defective heart valve. After a year of recovery, she got back in to the facility and teaching her own classes again. Since then she has been certified in Cycling and Pilates. She also teaches circuit training, spin, and subs for water aerobics. Tammie and her husband Dan love to scuba dive, along with their two girls. They have been very fortunate to have traveled all over the world scuba diving. They also enjoy kayaking and playing paintball.


Roxanne is the night spin instructor and also rotates Saturday morning spin sessions. Like most of you Roxanne leads an extremely busy life. She works full time as a driver coordinator for a large trucking company. She juggles full time work, community service, family, and her favorite job here at the gym. Roxanne has 2 wonderful children ages 4 and 13, and a great husband. She has worked at TFFC for over 4 years. She began working out after her son was born four years ago to get back into shape. Roxanne found that the more she worked out, the more energy she had. Soon she was teaching as a kids fit instructor, and then got hooked on spin within the first year. She began with just one class a week and then was convinced by her wonderful class to keep adding more! Spin is a class for anyone looking to get a great workout in a group setting!

Karla S.

Being healthy and fit has been a life-long priority for Karla. She met her husband Ed at a fitness club where they were working concurrently while attending Fresno State University. Together they enjoy and embrace the passion of being healthy and fit, and have passed it on to their three amazing children, Aubrie, Jacob and Ashton, and now their community.Karla enjoys many aspects of fitness, including jogging, cross-fit, and outdoor cycling/ trail riding, but especially takes pleasure in the camaraderie and other aspects of teaching indoor spinning classes. As a multi-leveled, certified “SPINNING” instructor she challenges her class by offering a variety of powerful, concentrated workouts, including endurance, strength and interval training rides, often set to fun, “theme-based” music selections.Serving as an educator in Tehama County for 20+ years, she is the current administrator for the SERRF After School Program, through the Tehama County Department of Education. In this role, health and fitness remain a precedence, in promoting their importance through curriculum, activities, professional development and daily programming for the 1500+ students, families and staff participating in the SERRF After School Program. As a rule of life, Karla loves devoting her time to being a great wife, mother, daughter, sister, leader, instructor & friend, while trying hard not to miss a good sale!


Liz is a recent business graduate from Simpson University. She has always been active in the sports community. She played 2 years of college basketball for the Lady Red Hawks and has coached the last three years for various teams in the north state. She currently opens three days a week at Tehama Family Fitness Center. She understands the importance of a healthy lifestyle and always embraces a challenge. Liz has been a part of the TFFC staff and community since she was 15 and she is looking forward to her new staff roll as an instructor.


Michelee has always loved being active. She Started at a very young age with Youth Swimming classes at Ashland Family YMCA and Club Northwest in Grants Pass, Oregon. In elementary school she became highly involved in Allen Dale's PTA jogathon fundraiser. Students collected pledges for the number of laps ran or a straight flat pledge. Michelee also attended IMD Modeling classes in Medford, Oregon for a year before moving to Red Bluff, California. Once middle school started, she quickly became involved in basketball, track and field, cheerleading and dance. In 2006, she enrolled in California Dance Company and attended the program for 6 years, taking classes such as hip-hop, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and conditioning/tumbling. In 2009, she joined the CDC's Intensive Program, a team which competes and performs all throughout the year in rigorous dance competitions. The following year, Michelee was a member of Red Bluff High School's 2010-2011 Dance Team. After graduating from RBHS in 2011, she quickly developed a passion for yoga and physical fitness in attempt to stay fit. Michelee is currently enrolled at Butte College studying Athletic Training, Nutrition, and Pilates. She is working towards a degree in Physical Education.


Kyle is originally from Sparks, Nevada. He attended York College, and Chico State University where he earned his B.A. degree. He has been a part of the Tehama Family Fitness Center and the Physical Therapy and Wellness center since 2005. Kyle is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA. Kyle enjoys helping people better their lives through fitness and exercise.

In his free time Kyle enjoys mountain hiking, strength training, and golfing when he is not spending time with his wife and daughter.

Heidi is the Aquatic Coordinator for the Physical Therapy & Wellness Center and Tehama Family Fitness Center. Heidi spends her day organizing aquatic classes, learn to-swim programs and working with physical therapy patients. Heidi graduated from CSU Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration. She has a Teaching Credential for the California Community Colleges and certifications that include Aquatic Exercise Association. Arthritis Foundation. Heidi is also a Water Safety Instructor through the Red Cross and a Certified PoolOperator.The past fourteen years have been focused on the therapeutic exercise side of aquatic exercise. Heidi believes the aquatic environment provides “life changing results”. Heidi enjoys spending time with family, performing with a hula club, snow skiing and water sports at Lake Shasta.


Along with a passion for dance, Ellie brings a ton of energy and fun to the Zumba classes at Tehama Family Fitness Center. Ellie is a native of southern California, but has been in Red Bluff since 2002. Ellie has a long history of working in retail, including stints as a Counter Manager for Cliniquie Cosmetics in San Diego and has also worked for MAC Cosmetics in Redding. Currently, Ellie is a Literacy Assistant at Meteer School in Red Bluff in addition to teaching her classes at TFFC.In her free time, Ellie enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Ellie’s very proud of her children Haley and Evan.


Greg comes from a unique and well-rounded exercise background. After high school where Greg excelled in athletics, he pursued a career in the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) as a professional bull rider. Staying strong and fit can become the difference between life and death in such a dangerous sport.After deciding to leave the sport of bull riding, Greg didn't lose his passion for strength training and conditioning, he still enjoys weight training along with running 5ks.Greg is our reigning Pump and Run Champion, and has bench pressed twice his body weight! Greg is a Certified level 1 CrossFit instructor and personal trainer.


Debra is a Red Bluff native and graduated from RBUHS Student Body President in 1975. She graduated from CSU Hayward in 1980 with a Bachelor in Kinesiology and Physical Education. Debra furthered her education at UC San Francisco completing her second Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, graduating in 1982. Debra returned to Red Bluff immediately after graduation and began her career at St Elizabeth Community Hospital. After a short period of time, she joined the out patient physical therapy team now known as Physical Therapy and Wellness Center. Debra continued her devotion to the study of hand therapy and successfully completed the process for Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) in 1996. Debra’s passion and expertise is in treatment of traumatic hand injuries but her history indicates she has enjoyed many facets of physical therapy, including developing and running the cardiac rehabilitation for St. Elizabeth’s Community Hospital, assisting in development of the pulmonary rehabilitation program for Chico Community Hospital, providing contract services for local skilled nursing facilities, and acute care services for St. Elizabeth’s Community Hospital for the past 27 years. Debra completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in April 2005, graduating from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Debra chooses to work in Red Bluff as a member of the excellent medical community providing care to the same community of doctors, educators and classmates that have contributed to her professional fulfillment. Personally Debra enjoys spending time with her husband Sgt. Jeff Ross of the California Highway Patrol and their three wonderful children, Brianna, Christy and Zack.


Ed is the President and CEO of the Physical Therapy & Wellness Center and Tehama Family Fitness Center. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1984 from Fresno State University. He went on shortly thereafter to complete the necessary requirements for his athletic training and strength and conditioning certifications. His primary experience has been in the realm of general orthopedics and sports medicine with an emphasis on therapeutic exercise.

Ed believes exercise is the best medicine – both empowering and energizing – and that exercise will increase one's sense of control over everyday life. "You're never too sick or too old to start exercising."

In 1986 Ed established the north state's first athletic training/sports medicine program at Red Bluff High School. He was a volunteer at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City where he worked at the hockey venue and was the onsite athletic trainer for the men's Gold Medal game.

He has worked as an associate athletic trainer with Justin Sports Medicine Program for 20 years, treating and evaluating rodeo injuries.

In his free time, Ed enjoys spending time with his family, fixing up his house, participating in many types of exercise – particularly stand up paddle surfing.

Dale is an RBUHS graduate of 2000, who returned to the north state in 2008. He completed his undergraduate education in Fitness & Human Performance, receiving his B.S. with Sum Cum Laude Honors through the University of Houston system. Dale then immediately began pursuit of his Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Texas Medical Branch, graduating in December of 2007 with Highest Honors. He then joined the team at the PTWC where he received his first introduction to the field of Physical Therapy.

Through his Education and training Dale has developed into a performance-based Physical Therapist, using a progressive strengthening and manual approach to return patients and clients to their highest level of function. He has had the opportunity to work with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coaches of the Houston Astros and NASA, as well as top research facilities in both Orthopedic and Neuro-Rehabilitation. Dale is a strong proponent of life-long learning and is continuing to further his education at Regis University to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Fellowship in Manual Orthopedic Therapy with recent completion of his credential for clinical instruction through the APTA.


Jami is a native of Red Bluff. She attended local schools, graduating in 1995. Jami became a member of Tehama Family Fitness Center in 2005 and quickly developed an interest in sharing her love of Pilates with others. Jami has gone on to receive her Pilates teaching certificate and now teaches three Mat Pilates classes weekly. Jami also enjoys teaching Spin classes as well as participating in many other wonderful classes offered at TFFC. In her spare time Jami loves to spend time with her husband and two beautiful daughters. Together they like to visit the local parks where they enjoy hiking. Jami is frequently found behind a camera taking pictures of nature and family.


Aubrie Stroman, Manager
Health and fitness has always been a passion for Aubrie. Growing up in the industry of athletic rehabilitation and sport specific exercise, she developed an enthusiasm at a very young age. Always loving being active, she was a three sport athlete participating in Volleyball, Basketball, and softball. After graduating from Red Bluff High School in 2005, Aubrie accepted a scholarship to play softball at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. There she lettered all four years and just recently graduated with a degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Science. Aubrie joined the Tehama Family Fitness Center staff full-time in May 2009, becoming a manager of the family business. She also teaches the Kettlebell class at TFFC, along with other specialty classes, and Personal Training. She takes pride in the health of TFFC members and loves seeing people of all ages make lifestyle changes that will benefit them for years to come. Aubrie enjoys spending time with friends and family, shopping, working out, and college football. She also loves anything that has to do with the outdoors; including running, riding her horses, and hunting with her boyfriend.
